New Subcommittee Structure

Help Shape the Future of Noosa Pickleball Club

Noosa Pickleball Club is growing — and with that growth comes the need for a clearer, more sustainable way to involve members in the work of the Club.

The Management Committee has approved a new subcommittee structure aligned with the four pillars of our Strategic Plan:

GROW | ENGAGE | PLAY | PATHWAYS

These subcommittees will help turn ideas into action, support our volunteers, and make sure the Club continues to grow in a well-organised and inclusive way.

How the New Structure Works

Read more in our Subcommittee Tool Kit

Each subcommittee will include up to 7 members, made up of:

Chair or Co-Chairs

The Chair leads the subcommittee, keeps the work moving, and acts as the main point of contact with the Management Committee Liaison.

Project Leads

Project Leads take responsibility for specific initiatives within the subcommittee portfolio.

General Members / Specialists

These members bring skills, ideas and practical support, and may step into project lead roles over time.

Volunteer Helpers

Volunteer helpers support specific tasks, events or projects. You do not need to be an official member of the subcommitee, nor attend subcommittee meetings to help.

This means you can be involved in a way that suits your time, skills and interests.

A Flexible Way to Volunteer

Not everyone wants to join a committee — and that’s okay.

You might want to:

  • help at one event
  • support a project for a few weeks
  • take on a regular role
  • contribute specialist skills
  • lead a specific initiative

All help is valued.

You can help once, occasionally, or in an ongoing role.

How We Manage Overlap

Some projects naturally connect across more than one area. To keep things clear:

Each initiative will have one home subcommittee, with other subcommittees consulted where needed.

For example:

  • A coaching grant would be led by PATHWAYS, with GROW consulted for funding support
  • Tournament volunteers would be led by PLAY, with ENGAGE supporting volunteer coordination
  • An introductory program for new members would be led by PATHWAYS, with ENGAGE supporting member welcome and follow-up

This helps avoid duplication and keeps responsibilities clear.
