Understanding Noosa Pickleball Club's Player Levels
Ever wondered what level you're really playing at, or what those DUPR numbers actually mean? You're not alone — it's one of the most common questions we get, and it matters for making sure everyone's getting a good, competitive game at the right level.
DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) is a rating system that reflects your actual level of play based on results against other rated players. It updates as you play, so it's a live, evolving picture of where you sit — not a fixed label.
To help members understand how DUPR ratings translate to general skill level, here's a guide adapted for our Club from other pickleball clubs' scales*:

If you're assessing yourself at Lower Intermediate (3.0–3.5), please don't attend the Strong Intermediate sessions at Olive Donaldson and Noosaville State School until you're confident you meet this criteria.
Knowing your rating — and being honest about it — helps everyone get matched into sessions and games where they can compete, learn, and enjoy themselves. If you're unsure where you sit, ask a committee member or one of our session hosts for guidance.
