ATTENDING THE AGM

All financial members are welcome and encouraged to attend. The AGM can only proceed once quorum is reached — a minimum number of members must be present before any business, including elections, can be conducted. Your attendance is not just welcome; it is what makes the meeting possible.

If you cannot attend in person, you may appoint another financial member to vote on your behalf by lodging a proxy form before the meeting. Each member may hold a maximum of one proxy.

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE ELECTIONS

All Management Committee positions are open for election at this AGM:

  • President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • General Members

Every committee member serves a one-year term and must be re-nominated to continue. Nominations are now open.

ELIGIBILITY TO NOMINATE

To stand for election to the Management Committee, a candidate must:

  • Have been a continuous financial member of NPC for a minimum of 12 months prior to nomination
  • Be a financial member at the time of both nomination and election
  • Not be from the same household as another serving committee member

Term limits
To ensure fresh leadership and shared responsibility over time, NPC's constitution places the following limits on committee service:

  • President, Secretary, Treasurer, and General Member positions are each limited to four consecutive one-year terms. After four consecutive terms in the same position, a member must take a minimum one-year break before standing for that position again. A member may move between positions without triggering this break.
  • No member may serve more than ten cumulative years on the Management Committee in any combination of positions. After reaching ten cumulative years, the member must take a minimum two-year break before standing for any committee position.

WHAT'S INVOLVED — MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE ROLE

Joining the Management Committee is a meaningful commitment to the club you love. Before nominating, please read the full Role Expectations document, which covers attendance requirements, subcommittee participation, policy obligations, and more.

👉👉 Role Expectations Document

In summary, committee members are expected to:

  • Attend a minimum of 70% of Management Committee meetings (up to 10 per year)
  • Submit agenda items, reports, and recommendations to the Secretary at least one week before each meeting
  • Participate actively on one of NPC's four subcommittees: GROW, ENGAGE, PLAY, or PATHWAYS, and act as the conduit between that subcommittee and the Management Committee
  • Be familiar with and uphold all NPC policies, including the Members Code of Conduct and Pickleball Australia's Participant Code of Behaviour
  • Declare any conflicts of interest promptly
  • Volunteer actively at club events and programs

It is a genuine time commitment — meetings, subcommittee work, event volunteering, and the responsibilities that keep a club running well. Committee members who thrive in the role are those who show up consistently, not just occasionally.

Interested but not sure? Reach out to any current committee member for a no-obligation conversation before you decide.

HOW TO NOMINATE

Nominations must be submitted to the Secretary no later than 30 July 2026.

A valid nomination requires:

  • The completed nomination form, signed by the candidate and two financial members of NPC
  • The candidate's written consent to stand
  • A short candidate statement (100–150 words) to be published on this page

Download the nomination form, complete it, and return it to:
